Liontrust Income Fund (Formerly Newton)

The investment objective of Liontrust Income Fund is to generate income with the potential for long term (5 years or more) capital growth.

Neptune was aquired by Liontrust Asset Management Plc on the 1st October 2019 and all their funds have been renamed to align with the Liontrust branding hence the name change to Liontrust Income Fund.

Liontrust believe the acquisition of Neptune will be a great benefit for everyone concerned, including most importantly investors in the Neptune funds.

Following the acquisition, all the Neptune funds continue to be managed by the same investment team, which is now called the Liontrust Global Equity team, and they are being run according to the same investment process.

The Liontrust Income Fund is designed for investors seeking regular income and long-term capital growth from UK equities, with the aim of generating a yield in excess of the FTSE All Share Index. Robin Geffen has managed the Fund since its launch in December 2002 and has always maintained a 33 equally-weighted stock portfolio using the same process, which is founded on team-based research, a culture of investing with conviction and three silo portfolio construction. Whilst the Fund invests predominately in UK companies, it also has the ability to invest up to 20% in income opportunities overseas.
