Rathbone Global Opportunities Fund

The objective of the fund is to deliver a greater total return than the IA Global Sector, after fees, over any five-year period. To meet the objective, the fund manager will invest at least 80% of the fund in global shares, with the remainder in cash, short-term deposits and UK government debt.

Rathbone aim to deliver a greater total return than the Investment Association (IA) Global Sector, after fees, over any five-year period. Total return means the return they receive from the value of their investments increasing (capital growth) plus the income they receive from their investments (dividend payments). Rathbone use the IA Global sector as a target for their fund’s return because they aim to achieve a better return than the average of funds that are similar.  They compare their asset allocation to the FTSE World Index to give you an indication of how the fund is positioned against the global stock market.
