Re-registration is a great way to consolidate your investments in one place.
FREE OF CHARGE and get £25 cash-back! (terms apply)

You can re-register funds you bought outside an ISA, as well as ISAs - which will stay tax wrapped. You won't be out of the market while your investments are being re-registered. Any funds you hold that were arranged through ourselves or any other adviser can be re-registered through us.

Your money stays invested in the same funds you hold now, managed by the same companies. All that changes is that they can now all be held together in one account. Just tell FundsNetwork which funds you hold with other companies and they will do the rest.

Over 1,100 funds from 65 leading fund managers are available for re-registration.
Don't forget that even if not all your funds are re-registerable, you'll still benefit from having most of your investments in one place - and more companies are joining all the time.

Once your funds are re-registered, they'll be displayed on the FundsNetwork web-site in Account Management alongside the investments you bought via Fidelity and FundsNetwork. Then you have the option to switch funds for a maximum switching fee of just 0.25% if you want to change your investments in the future.

Before re-registration

After re-registration

You get separate statements and valuations from each company

You get a single statement and valuation of all your funds

It's hard to work out how much your investments are worth in total, especially if each of your statements has a different date

Your statement shows the value of all your holdings on the same date, and you can get an up-to-date valuation at any time here

Changes to your account - even just a new address - involves contacting each company individually

You have a single account manager, so if you need to make changes, you just have one company to contact

If you follow your investments online you'll have to memorise several different passwords

All your investments are in the same account, so you only have one password to remember

If you move money from one fund to another, you may have to pay the full initial charge

Move your money into a different fund within FundsNetwork and you will benefit from low switching charges

Finding out how your portfolio is spread across shares and bonds, geographical areas and industrial sectors is almost impossible

Our tools give you a detailed analysis of your portfolio in seconds

What are the benefits of re-registration?  -  Re-registering your funds is a great way to keep track of your investments. You'll be able to view PEPs, ISAs and funds you bought elsewhere, all on one screen. You'll benefit in many other ways too, as you'll see below.

Which funds can I re-register?
  -  Over 1,100 funds, from 60 of the fund management companies on FundsNetwork, can be re-registered.

Please note that sometimes not all the funds in a company's range are re-registerable. Most of these exceptions are tracker funds. Even if you think your fund could be one of these, please do complete the re-registration process in the normal way. As you go through the online process, you'll be presented with a list of funds that can be re-registered for each company. For current-year ISAs only, if you own a fund that is not on the list, we will unfortunately not be able to complete your re-registration. For all previous PEP and ISA years, we will re-register all of the funds that are available.

If you are completing your re-registration via paper application forms, for current-year ISAs only, we will try to re-register all the funds in your account. If one or more of your funds can't be re-registered, we will let you know as soon as possible as it means we cannot carry out your re-registration request. If you are re-registering funds from previous ISA or PEP years, unavailable funds will not be moved, but any others in that year's ISA or PEP will be.

Don't forget that funds that can't be re-registered can still be transferred, and that FundsNetwork via Seymour Sinclair Investments offers many funds at no initial charge. It's also possible to move investment trust shares held outside an ISA to FundsNetwork via a
share transfer.

How much will re-registering my funds cost me?
   -  Nothing. Neither Fidelity or the fund companies involved charge anything for this service. However, clients re-registering funds within Aegon's Premium PEP service will incur Aegon's usual charges on exiting the service. This is the only Aegon service for which there is a charge.

How long will it take to re-register?  - It depends on the investment company. Fidelity contact them on your behalf within one or two days - and after three to eight weeks we send you a letter confirming that it's all complete.

Do I have to re-register all my different funds?   -  With a current-year ISA, the answer is yes. You must re-register all the funds in the account. With other accounts, you can choose to re-register some funds and leave others behind. However, you cannot re-register just a part of a fund holding. It is worth bearing in mind that the more of your investments you re-register the more benefit you will derive from Account Management.

Will I have to move my money into Fidelity's funds when I re-register?   -  No. There will not be any changes to your investments at all. Your money stays in the same funds. Fidelity simply takes over the administration of your account.

What if I have investments with more than one company?
   -  The more companies you have investments with the more you will notice the benefits of having everything in the same place after re-registration. But, of course, it does mean the application process is a bit more complicated. Fidelity will try to help by sending you separate confirmations as soon as each re-registration is finalised.

Will I be able to make contributions to my ISA while it is being re-registered?   -  One-off contributions should be made either before you send in your form or after your re-registration is completed.

How will I know my funds have been re-registered?   -  FundsNetwork will send you a letter confirming that your units or shares have been re-registered. This letter will show how many units or shares have been re-registered and your account number. If you are re-registering several funds from the same company, they may not all be handled at the same time, in which case you will receive a separate confirmation for each one. Once a re-registration has taken place you can also check the details online in Account Management.

Can I carry over the designation on an account I re-register?   -  Yes, you can for unit trusts and OEICs. There is a box on the re-registration application form where you can tell us what the account designation is. Designations can't be carried over for PEP/ISA accounts.

Will my funds stay in a PEP or ISA when I re-register them?   -  Yes, but of course you will not be able to move funds into a PEP or ISA if they are not already held in a tax-free wrapper.

Will re-registration make me liable for Capital Gains Tax?   -  No. Units/shares are not sold when you re-register them, so there are no capital gains for you to be taxed on.

What about my monthly savings plan? Do I need to stop the payments? And if so how and when will they be started again?   -  FundsNetwork will tell your investment company to stop collecting the payments. You should also let your bank know about the change, to ensure you do not make payments to two different companies. With an ISA, once you have received the letter confirming that your funds have been re-registered, you can set up a new monthly savings plan with FundsNetwork. Contact either Fidelity FundsNetwork or Seymour Sinclair the relevant forms. When Fidelity receives the form they will send you a letter telling you when your payments will start again.
